Greenkeeper Vacancy

A vacancy for a Greenkeeper has arisen at Broomieknowe Golf Club, located in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. Broomieknowe is regarded as one of the finest courses in the area and continues its major investment in improving and upgrading the facilities. 

Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, we are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to assist in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course, continuously delivering high standards.   Experience and qualifications will be an advantage, and a full driving license is essential for all applicants of 18 years of age and over. 

Applicants will, as a minimum, be expected to:

• demonstrate a proven track record of a positive attitude to work;
• possess good communication skills and be self-motivated with excellent time management;
• work flexible hours and participate in a weekend rota.

The following qualifications are desirable:

• NVQ 2/3 with 2 years’ experience;
• PA1, PA6 spraying certificates;
• PA2 spraying certificate;
• Chainsaw license;
• Good working knowledge of and maintenance of machinery.
