Since my last report, the weather has been much kinder and, due to the hard graft from the Greens Team and Volunteers, the course has been presented in great condition. In particular, the greens are as fast and true as I have ever seen them and apparently are running consistently at 10 on the stimp-meter. Even my putting improves on greens like this!
I am sure Members will echo my thanks to the Greens Team and the Volunteers for the huge efforts made to keep our course playable – unlike many in the immediate area. We must welcome Fraser Hudson onto the Greens Staff for the summer months. He has experience from Ratho and Kingsknowe and will be a valuable addition to the team at this, the busiest, time of year.
Today, Greens will be Scarified and cut, then tomorrow when the better weather comes in , we will top dress them .
